IAGLR 2025 session submission closed

Thanks to all who submitted a session for IAGLR 2025! The conference is coming together with nearly 50 sessions proposed. We’re now in the process of finalizing the session lineup. Stay tuned for the for the Call for Abstracts in November, with abstracts due by mid-December.

Apply for an IDEA+ Workshop Award

The IDEA+ Workshop Award provides support for someone to host a workshop at the annual Conference on Great Lakes Research. The award aims to broaden participation in IAGLR by welcoming and involving people from historically marginalized communities. Apply by November 1 to be considered for IAGLR 2025.

We invite you to propose a scientific session for our 68th Annual Conference on Great Lakes Research. The conference will be held June 2–6, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a hybrid event. Session chairs should be prepared to facilitate a session that welcomes both in-person and virtual oral presentations and audience participation. Each year, IAGLR awards the following scholarships to students showing great promise early in their research careers. The application deadline is November 1.

Scholarships are a great way to get support to attend the IAGLR 2025 conference. All scholarship winners are expected to present their research at the conference and will receive a free conference registration to do so.

Call for Abstracts: You're invited to submit a for presentation for the 31st Annual River Symposium themed 'River Connections: Land, Water & Community', taking place in-person at the Cornwall Civic Complex on October 23 & 24 and online October 25. We encourage a wide variety of presentation submissions that explore the interconnectedness of ecosystems, nature, and social worlds across the land and water. For proposed session descriptions and information about how to submit an abstract please see the 2024 River Symposium website. The submission deadline is Friday, September 6th.
