Owing to their incredible beauty and transience, ice formations are my favourite things to photograph. One big wave and these teardrops would be gone. They remind us of the fragility of our environment, and in particular our climate. I hope that future winters will remain cold enough to allow Mother Nature to continue creating her beautiful ice sculptures on Lake Simcoe.
