Description

The Great Lakes Center and Chemistry Department at Buffalo State University are accepting applications for a graduate thesis position focused on chemical communication biology of crayfish. The selected student will assist in the isolation and verification of potential compounds triggering mate searching behavior. An undergraduate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with interests in applied animal behavior. Familiarity with mass spectroscopy an asset but not essential. Selected candidates will have the option to enroll in either Forensic Chemistry, Great Lakes Environmental Science, Biology, or the Multi-disciplinary Studies graduate programs. Applicant review will begin June 1 until position is filled. Position includes full in-state tuition plus annual stipend.
