Baird Center

Welcome to Milwaukee

Water has always been integral to Milwaukee's identity. Nestled on the western shore of Lake Michigan, the city is known not only for its beer, it also has one of the most mature water technology hubs in the world.

Milwaukee features a lively energy and close-knit creative community, with first-class hotels and restaurants and a variety of opportunities to enjoy art, culture, sport, and recreation. More than 160 miles of bike lanes and several off-street bike trails throughout the city make Milwaukee one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the country. From the Bronzeville Center for the Arts and iconic Milwaukee Art Museum, to the Harley-Davidson Museum and Discovery World, this dynamic, growing city offers plenty to explore.
