All speakers, session chairs, presenters, and other attendees must register for the conference. The cost to submit an abstract is a separate fee and is not applied to registration.

Will there be financial support for Indigenous and Black participants?

IAGLR is committed to becoming a more inclusive and diverse society. One way we do this is to support the participation of people who historically may not have participated in the conference. This year we are pleased to offer a pay-what-you-can registration option for Indigenous and Black participants. To receive a discount code, please contact [email protected] before registering. Several discount codes are available upon request to reflect a variety of situations and must be used when you register for the conference. Please keep in mind that IAGLR operates on a break-even, tight budget. We appreciate your help to defer the cost of our heaviest expense items, such as daily food and audio visual services. When you use this discount, you acknowledge that you are Indigenous, Inuit, Métis, or Black and that you do not have external support to attend the conference or you require additional assistance. These discount codes can be applied to any registration type. Only one coupon per attendee. Funds are limited.

What type of payments are accepted?

We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Do you have a code of conduct?

Yes. We are committed to making IAGLR 2024 a friendly, welcoming conference for all attendees. All participants and exhibitors must agree to the IAGLR Code of Conduct when registering.

Can I send a substitute or cancel my registration if I can’t attend?

We understand that occasionally unforeseeable responsibilities and personal obligations may prevent you from attending the conference. If you find yourself in this situation you may:

• Send a substitute. No charge, at any time *
• Attend virtually. Conference presentations will be available during and after the dates of the meeting.

Paid in-person registrants may request a partial refund—up to 50% of the rate difference between in person and virtual through April 22. Note that refunds will be issued to the credit card used for the initial transaction and an additional $25 processing fee will apply. No refunds will be issued to virtual registrants.

I paid an abstract submission fee. Does that count toward registration?

Abstract fees are separate from registration. Costs for registration are in the table above.
