IAGLR appreciates and honors the generosity of friends of the Great Lakes–a generosity that enables IAGLR to fulfill its commitment to supporting students in fields of study related to the Great Lakes.
The IAGLR Scholarship is awarded annually to promising Ph.D. students whose dissertation research is likely to make a significant contribution to the understanding of large lakes.
The award is given to a student conducting graduate research in statistics, mathematical modeling, data analysis, and/or quantitative decision support that advances understanding and management of Great Lakes ecosystems.
This award is given to broaden participation at IAGLR conferences to welcome and involve people from traditionally underrepresentedĀ and/or marginalized groups.
This award is given to support research that adds to the diversity of perspectives regarding large lake science, management, education, communication, policy and community.
This award is designed to promote student attendance at the annual conference by subsidizing a portion of the costs of travel to and from the meeting.
