World Water Week runs August 23–27, with this year's theme: building a more just, equitable water-secure future for people and the planet in a rapidly changing climate. IAGLR Executive Director Jérôme Marty and member Abe Francis will join a panel of water scientists and community leaders Monday at 5 a.m. EDT for "Trust and Collaboration as Preconditions for Water Stewardship." This session is part of a series organized through partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations—sessions that center Indigenous Peoples' crucial role in global water governance and elevate their voices and traditional water knowledge.
