JGLR 48(5) now online

Oct 6, 2022

The Journal of Great Lakes Research, Volume 48, Issue 5 is now online. The cover image features an adult herring gull (Larus argentatus), which breed on the Laurentian Great Lakes. Biochemical and physical measurements of gull eggs have provided insights into the state of the Great Lakes for 50 years. In this issue, two articles summarize results from a study in Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior. At that location, herring gull populations have declined by 70% over the last 40 years. Serré et al. investigate the influence of diet on gull physiology, reproduction, and behavior while Hebert et al. examine how diet influences exposure to perfluoroalkyl acids.
