IAGLR joins CASS

Aug 10, 2017

IAGLR recently joined the Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies (CASS), a group of societies with a shared interest in aquatic resources. Members include AFS, ASLO, CERF, FMCS, IAGLR, NALMS, PSA, SFS, and SWS.

The consortium promotes, coordinates, and shares scientific expertise and knowledge about global aquatic ecosystems. Aquatic and wetland ecosystems, spanning from headwater to oceans, are significant components of the world’s ecosphere and are threatened globally by a wide variety of human activities. CASS recognizes that these aquatic ecosystems are critical for the planet’s sustainability and are an important economic resource for many nations in sectors such as aquaculture, fisheries, and tourism.

Stay tuned for more announcements about CASS activities.
