Description

The Aquatic Invasive Species Program Manager (Program Manager) will work to engage the public and partners in aquatic invasive species spread prevention and management. The primary role is to coordinate WNY PRISM’s Watercraft Inspection Stewardship Program (WISP) which includes up to 13 public boat launches staffed weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of WISP including partner communications, permissions, hiring, training and supervising Boat Stewards, data management, and reporting. Additional program responsibilities will include early detection and response efforts, additional survey and removal efforts, facilitation of the WNY Water Chestnut Working Group, and collaboration with partners on regional priorities.
