Les Warren

Warren

Les Warren is a graduate student at Purdue University pursuing his Ph.D. in Aquatic Sciences in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources. Prior, Les received his M.S. at St. Cloud State University in environmental and ecology biology where he researched the influence of septic system contamination on the reproduction of bluegill in Minnesota lakes. At Purdue, Les’s research focuses on habitat utilization of larval alewife in Lake Michigan and how supplemental habitats (i.e., drowned river mouth lakes and river mouths) potentially play an important role in the sustainability of the alewife population. Besides performing his research, Les also finds it important to mentor fellow students and works intensely to involve undergraduate researchers in the lab and help them grow as young scientists.
