Calvin Hitch

Calvin Hitch is a project manager of Hydrometrics for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. He graduated from the environmental technology program at Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology (2011) while spending four years in consulting before starting his career at TRCA. Since 2017, Hitch has been primarily working on tributary sampling and monitoring projects for the north shore of Lake Ontario. He continues to steer curriculum at Georgian College as a guest speaker and a member of the academic advisory board, and is current secretariat of the Lake Ontario Inter Agency Science Working Group. Current focuses include land to lake connections, nutrient monitoring, tributary loadings studies, driving collaborative projects with partners for Lake Ontario Water Quality programs, and state of the art design of monitoring stations utilizing real-time telemetry technologies.
