The Chandler-Misener Award is presented annually to the authors of the peer-reviewed paper in the most recent complete volume of the Journal of Great Lakes Research (at the time of the annual conference) judged to be "most notable" based on originality, contribution, and presentation. This year's recipients were W. Charles Kerfoot, Foad Yousef, Sarah A. Green, Judith W. Budd, David J. Schwab, and Henry A. Vanderploeg for their paper, "Approaching storm: Disappearing winter bloom in Lake Michigan" (JGLR 36 (Suppl. 3) 30-41).
