Accommodations
Trent University is located at the northern limits of the city of Peterborough, approximately 15 minutes from the downtown core.
For those who are staying at an off-campus hotel, there will be bus transportation to Trent at the beginning and end of each conference day. For those travelling to the campus by car, parking passes will be available at the registration desk. View an interactive map of Peterborough.
On-campus Rooms
On-campus rooms are available at a special IAGLR rate (includes breakfast) in the residence at Gzowski College. There will be check-in services available every evening to 11 p.m. Bus shuttles will be arranged to take conference attendees to all off-campus events (i.e. graduate reception, keynote address at Memorial Centre, Can-Am hockey game at Evinrude Centre). Parking is included in the conference attendee package provided to our guests.
Hotels
Rooms have been reserved for the conference at several local hotels at the conference rates shown below. Please make your reservations before April 19, 2008, to guarantee availability at these rates. Use the identifier, "International Association for Great Lakes Research" to arrange for the special conference rate.
All rates must add 5% room tax and 5% GST.
For those preferring to choose alternative accommodation such as a Bed and Breakfast, or a lakeside resort in the area, there are many to choose from.
